My cousin (who lives in Minneapolis, MN) are planning to travel to Italy in early October for 2 weeks. The exact dates are flexible, but I need to be back home no later than 10/22/2025. We are thinking we’d fly in to Milan and maybe spend 1 night there; from Milan, we’d head to Lake Como for a few days. Then, we’d like to spend the rest of the trip in Tuscany, possibly staying in Sienna and making day trips from there. Since we are traveling from different destinations, we’d like to plan the flights so we meet up in the US and travel overseas together. We’d like a direct flight from the US. Both of us have frequent flyer miles we’d like to use if possible. Hers are on Delta, mine on American. That makes it nearly impossible for us both to use our miles. Things we’re interested in, if possible: hot air balloon ride over Tuscany (if not too cold); cooking classes; Uffizi in Florence; wine tastings, exploring the countryside. We’re ok taking trains for in-country travel.
