Saint Lucia is one of the top honeymoon destinations in the Caribbean – and for a good reason! This volcanic island offers adventurous activities like unique waterfalls and mud bath experience on the St Lucia Soufriere Experience and beautiful white sand beaches with blue water to enjoy when wanting to relax.

Antigua is the perfect destination for white sand beaches and clear blue waters! This breathtaking island measures 108 sq. miles and is circled by 95 miles of curvy coastlines and beaches.

Antigua is the largest of the English-speaking Leeward Islands and is well known for its 365 white sand beaches, fine restaurants, local nightlife, rich culture, and unique history. History lovers can explore Nelson’s Dockyard, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You can also discover the picturesque English Harbor, where its Georgian-style naval buildings date back to the 18th century.

The island’s pristine beaches and beautiful coral reefs are the perfect setting for various island activities including Cades Reef Snorkeling, Scuba Diving, Jeep Safari’s, Catamaran Cruises, Rainforest Ziplining, Hiking Adventures, Kayak tours, Horseback riding, Deep Sea Sport Fishing and much more! While other popular resort activities include yoga, golf, tennis, cricket and more!

4. St Vincent and the Grenadines

Tropical beach resort with white sand, turquoise water, palm trees, and green, mountainous backdrop.

Saint Vincent and the Grenadines is one of the Caribbean's best-kept secrets untouched by mass tourism. Unlike more commercialized islands, this breathtaking destination offers a collection of lush volcanic landscapes, hidden coves, and powder-soft beaches that create an incredibly romantic setting for newlyweds.

Here, you will find an atmosphere centered around privacy and relaxation. Couples can spend their days sailing between secluded islands like Mustique or Bequia, snorkeling vibrant coral reefs, hiking through tropical rainforests to spectacular waterfalls, or simply unwinding on quiet beaches with few other visitors in sight. The destination's slower pace allows you to truly disconnect and focus on creating unforgettable memories together.

Saint Vincent and the Grenadines is also home to one of the Caribbean's most exclusive luxury resorts, Sandals Saint Vincent, offering private plunge pools, oceanfront villas, personalized butler service, and world-class dining. Sandals St Vincent has introduced a new level of all-inclusive luxury to the destination, while boutique properties throughout the islands provide an even more intimate setting without the all inclusive experience. If you're searching for a honeymoon destination that feels exclusive, romantic, and refreshingly uncrowded, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines offers everything you need for an unforgettable Caribbean escape.

When it comes to welcoming visitors, Jamaica knows how to do it ‘all right!’ They have been giving tourists warm welcomes for many decades. This is the perfect destination whether you are seeking adventure or looking to relax on the beach.

Jamaica is an expansive island, offering a classic Caribbean experience with a wide variety of honeymoon resort options.  Here are some of my favorite resort options for the perfect honeymoon:

6. Curacao

Aerial view of a tropical resort along a turquoise coastline with a large pool, palm trees, and sandy beaches.

With its colorful Dutch-inspired architecture, crystal-clear turquoise waters, and year-round sunshine, Curaçao is a hidden gem for couples looking for a honeymoon that blends romance, adventure, and culture. Located outside the Caribbean's hurricane belt, Curaçao offers a reliable tropical escape any time of year, making it an excellent choice for newlyweds seeking both relaxation and exploration.

Unlike destinations that revolve solely around all-inclusive resorts, Curaçao invites couples to venture beyond the beach. Spend your days wandering the vibrant streets of Willemstad, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, snorkeling or diving among some of the Caribbean's healthiest coral reefs, discovering secluded coves, or enjoying a sunset sail along the island's picturesque coastline. The island is also home to more than 35 beautiful beaches, each offering its own unique charm, from lively beach clubs to quiet stretches of white sand perfect for a romantic afternoon together.

For couples who want more than a traditional beach vacation, Curaçao delivers the perfect combination of Caribbean beauty, rich culture, exceptional dining, and unforgettable experiences. Its welcoming atmosphere, colorful scenery, and endless opportunities for adventure make it one of the Caribbean's most unique and rewarding honeymoon destinations.

7. Grenada

Aerial view of a tropical resort with red-roofed buildings, palm trees, and a curved white-sand beach beside turquoise water and a wooden pier.

Grenada is known as the "Spice Isle of the Caribbean," offering lush rainforests, fragrant spice plantations, cascading waterfalls, and pristine beaches creating an unforgettable romantic escape. The island of Grenada is less crowded than many Caribbean islands, offering couples the opportunity to experience authentic island charm while enjoying luxurious accommodations and breathtaking natural beauty.

Couples can spend their days hiking to hidden waterfalls, touring cocoa and nutmeg plantations, diving the famous underwater sculpture park, or simply unwinding together with a beachfront cocktail as the sun sets over the Caribbean Sea.

Grenada is the runner up destination next to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines for couples looking to escape the crowds without sacrificing luxury. Grenada is one of the Caribbean's best kept secrets. Its warm hospitality, spectacular scenery, rich culture, and laid-back atmosphere create the perfect setting for a honeymoon filled with unforgettable moments and lasting memories.

Resort I recommend:

8. Dominican Republic

The Dominican Republic is one of the best honeymoon destinations in the Caribbean for couples looking to enjoy a luxurious all-inclusive resort at an exceptional value. With countless resort options along the world-famous beaches of Punta Cana, there's a perfect escape for every honeymoon style, whether you're looking for a lively beachfront resort with endless activities or a secluded adults-only retreat with private pool suites and butler service.

Beyond its beautiful white-sand beaches and crystal-clear turquoise waters, the Dominican Republic offers couples the perfect balance of relaxation and adventure. Spend your days enjoying unlimited gourmet dining, lounging in oceanfront cabanas, sailing on a romantic catamaran cruise, exploring hidden cenotes, ziplining through lush tropical forests, or indulging in a couples' spa treatment. Many resorts also offer honeymoon packages, romantic beachfront dinners, and upgraded suite options designed to make your first vacation as newlyweds even more memorable.

Thanks to its excellent value, convenient flights from many U.S. cities, and impressive selection of luxury all-inclusive resorts, the Dominican Republic remains one of the most sought-after honeymoon destinations in the Caribbean. Couples can enjoy five-star amenities and unforgettable experiences while staying within their honeymoon budget, making it an ideal choice for celebrating the start of forever.

10. Mexico

I was not sure whether to include Mexico or not – BUT I had to!

Mexico is underrated for top honeymoon destinations, and it is one of my favorite destinations for a GREAT quality all inclusive vacation at a really affordable price. Although Mexico is not a Caribbean island, the country does share the Caribbean Sea. 😉 Mexico offers unique experiences like swimming with Whale Sharks, snorkeling with sea turtles, swimming in freshwater cenotes, exploring the historical Maya Ruins, and so much more! Mexico is definitely one of the top destinations for a honeymoon if you are looking for a great value all inclusive at the most affordable price point.

And not to mention – there are SO MANY all inclusive resort options to choose from in Mexico. Here are some of my favorite all inclusive honeymoon resort options:

What is the best all-inclusive honeymoon resort in the Caribbean?

The best all-inclusive honeymoon resort depends on the type of vacation you're looking for. Couples seeking dramatic scenery often fall in love with Saint Lucia, while Antigua is known for its quiet white-sand beaches and boutique luxury resorts. Jamaica offers the largest selection of adults-only all-inclusive resorts, the Dominican Republic provides exceptional value, and Saint Vincent & the Grenadines is ideal for couples wanting a secluded luxury escape. The perfect honeymoon resort is one that matches your budget, travel style, and dream honeymoon experience.

Which Caribbean island is best for a honeymoon?

Some of the best Caribbean honeymoon destinations include Saint Lucia, Antigua, Jamaica, Saint Vincent & the Grenadines, Curaçao, Grenada, the Bahamas, Barbados, and the Dominican Republic. Each island offers a unique experience, from volcanic landscapes and rainforest adventures to secluded beaches and luxurious all-inclusive resorts.

What is included at an all-inclusive honeymoon resort?

Most all-inclusive honeymoon resorts include accommodations, unlimited dining, premium beverages, entertainment, non-motorized water sports, and airport transfers. Many luxury resorts also include snorkeling, kayaking, paddleboarding, nightly entertainment, fitness classes, and gratuities. Some resorts even offer complimentary scuba diving for certified divers. It's always a good idea to review what's included before booking, as inclusions vary by resort.

How much does a Caribbean honeymoon cost?

The cost of a Caribbean honeymoon varies depending on the destination, resort, room category, and travel dates. Budget-conscious couples can often find luxury all-inclusive vacations in the Dominican Republic or Jamaica, while destinations like Saint Lucia, Antigua, and Saint Vincent typically offer more upscale experiences. Booking early and traveling during the shoulder season can often provide the best value.

What is the best time to honeymoon in the Caribbean?

The Caribbean is a wonderful honeymoon destination year-round, but December through April generally offers the driest weather and most comfortable temperatures. Couples looking for lower prices and fewer crowds may prefer traveling during the late spring or early fall, while keeping local weather patterns in mind.

Are adults-only resorts better for a honeymoon?

For many couples, yes. Adults-only resorts are designed to provide a quieter, more romantic atmosphere with amenities such as candlelit beachfront dinners, swim-up bars, couples' spa treatments, private pools, and honeymoon suites. These resorts cater specifically to couples looking for relaxation and romance.

How far in advance should you book a Caribbean honeymoon?

For the best selection of resorts, flights, and honeymoon suites, it's recommended to book your Caribbean honeymoon at least 8–12 months in advance. This is especially important if you're traveling during peak wedding season or want a luxury suite with a private pool or butler service.

What are the most romantic all-inclusive resorts in the Caribbean?

Some of the Caribbean's most romantic all-inclusive resorts include Sandals Grande Saint Lucian, Jade Mountain, Hammock Cove Antigua, Hermitage Bay, Sandals Saint Vincent, Jumby Bay Island, Sandals Royal Curaçao, and Excellence Oyster Bay. These resorts are known for exceptional service, breathtaking scenery, luxurious accommodations, and unforgettable honeymoon experiences.

Is your priority a private plunge pool, world-class dining, a spectacular beach, or adventure excursions? Working with an experienced travel advisor can help you compare destinations, narrow your options, and find the perfect honeymoon resort based on your budget and travel style.
